Pattern Notes:

Scarf features garter edging surrounding a double moss stitch body, with tapered tips.
All RS rows are odd numbered. All WS rows are even numbered.
Pattern may be worked from Written Instructions, or from Champlain Scarf Chart.
Blocking is essential to demonstrate pattern design.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Beginner.
Long tail cast on, Knit, Purl, M1L, M1R, K2tog, SSK, P2tog, SSP, Blocking, Weaving in ends.

Yarn Weight:
Fingering.

Notions:
Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
Needle Size: US 5 / 3.75 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needle, or needle size to get gauge.

Gauge:
Double Moss Texture: 25 sts and 34 rows = 4” / 10 cm.
Gauge isn’t crucial, as it’s a scarf, but being off-gauge may affect the finished size of your scarf and the yardage required.
