While I look forward to all the vibrant and colorful leaves of autumn, I’ve found myself embracing time in the kayak ~ capturing the calm, and marveling at the ease with which trees change and mirror their reflection on the water. Symatrees Cowl is designed with symmetrical right and left cables, and appreciation for the many patterns nature shares with us.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Beginner. Knit, purl, long-tail cast on. Instructions for creating right cables and left cables included.

Yarn Weight: Aran

Notions: Tapestry needle, markers, cable needle, scissors, button or pin.

Gauge: Overall pattern on US 8 / 5.0mm needles: 21 sts and 22 rows = 4” / 10 cm blocked.

Gauge is not critical, but variation could affect yardage.

Suggested Yarns:

Noro Silk Garden Solo (45% Silk, 45% Mohair, 10% Wool; 110 yds / 100 m per 50 g / 1.76 oz skein).
